MEET BLAKE RIFE
Hi I'm Blake Rife.
I'm a farmer, teacher and ICU nurse at Avera. These roles have given me firsthand experience with the challenges facing South Dakota families, from education to agriculture to our healthcare system.
I studied political science at Augustana University. I've been interested in public service and government for a long time. Now I'm stepping up for District 2 to improve people's lives.
District 2 deserves a representative who listens to their concerns and brings real solutions to Pierre. That's the kind of leader I plan to be.
Education
Our public schools have been neglected for too long by state government. I will work with teachers, school leaders, parents and stakeholders to strengthen public education in urban and rural areas.
My Priorities
Healthcare
As a nurse, I know just how hard it is for South Dakotans to get the healthcare they need. I will bring solutions to Pierre to make a doctor's visit more affordable and accessible.
Affordability
No matter where you live in South Dakota, housing, groceries and energy bills are becoming more expensive. I will invest in programs that makes life more affordable for everyone.
